Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) Disclaimer.

All Stakeholder and Interested and Affected Party (I&AP) databases are required to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), which came into full effect on 1 July 2021, as read together with the amended POPIA Regulations effective from 17 April 2025.

Should you elect to register as a Stakeholder or I&AP on the Project Stakeholder and I&AP Database, we, as the appointed administrators of the project and the associated database, are required to obtain your consent to collect, process, store, and disclose your personal information for purposes related to this project.

You are hereby informed of your rights as a data subject under POPIA, including the right to: refuse consent to the processing of your personal information; object to the processing of your personal information at any time and request access to, correction of, deletion of, or destruction of your personal information.

These rights may be exercised free of charge and through reasonably accessible means, including in writing, by email, or by any other communication method made available by the administrator. Requests or objections may be submitted at any stage of the project process, and we undertake to respond in accordance with the timeframes prescribed by POPIA.

Should you choose to remain registered on this database without objection, it will be deemed that you have provided informed consent to be included and to the processing and disclosure of your personal information, which may include your name, affiliation, contact details, and written submissions. Such information may be made available to other interested or affected parties and may form part of the public record in relation to this project, as required by law.

All recipients of information contained in the Stakeholder and I&AP Database are expressly prohibited from using any personal information for purposes unrelated to this project, or for any direct marketing or other use, without obtaining the prior, explicit consent of the relevant data subject.
